Metaphour Digital is an independently owned, virtually based, design and technology studio with roots in Phoenix, AZ. We are strategists, designers, producers, developers, and technologists who share a passion for translating a great idea into an engaging, innovative and profitable user experience.
We are a multiplatform digital agency, creating websites, online ads, viral campaigns, digital applications, 3D models, HD video, interactive presentations, content management tools and just about anything else that takes advantage of digital technology. And when we say ‘anything else' – we mean ‘everything else'. Along with client work, Metaphour is dedicated to developing Intellectual Property products. Anything that can create a passive flow of income is fair game.
We are dreamers. Like any art form, interactive design requires imagination, taste and inspiration. We work with our clients to help develop custom digital marketing products that hit on all three levels of creativity, content, and commerce. Through a mixture of talents in strategy, design, flash animation, video, technology and applications - we are convinced that if we build it, they will come.
We are the working office of the digital age. While the majority is based in Phoenix, AZ, we work with clients and staff from across the globe in our iteration of the quitessential ‘virtual office'. We work hard to perfect the delicate balance between in person and virtual work – but with the technology offered today, and the right group of driven, dedicated staff, it enables us to move forward as the new ‘digital office'. At Metaphour, we wouldn't have drive and inspiration if we didn't have convenience and family – it's all relative.

We're asked, "What does Metaphor mean?" all the time. While the company name originally started as just a cool, digital agency name – it actually has some meaning behind it. Metaphour is a take on the latin word Metaphora, known as a language that directly connects seemingly unrelated subjects – like Creative + Content + Commerce = Metaphour Digital. It is a figure of speech that connects two or more things without using the words "like" or "as." More generally, a metaphor describes a first subject as being or equal to a second object in some way.
Taken literally, Metaphour is the combination of two latin words – "Meta" (before, preceding) and "Phora" (to brear, transmission, typically used in reference to bearing children). And while we're not in the business of birthing babies, Metaphour, as the company is known today, is the direct result of many years of hard work, dedication, trials and tribulations. As they say, a diamond is a chunk of coal that is made good under pressure.
